BID, HOW IT WORKS

All businesses within the Crieff  BID levy area are required by law to pay an annual levy, based on the rateable value of their property. This levy is collected by Perth and Kinross Council.

The money raised by the payment of the levy is placed into a ‘communal pot’. This ‘pot’ of money is then managed by the Crieff Succeeds Board and is spent on activities to raise the profile of Crieff, improve it’s overall appearance, encourage residents to shop locally, increase tourist numbers and footfall to the town etc, as set out in the BID Business Plan. It also pays the salary of one full time manager and one part time marketing executive (20 hours a week).
