Scottish 6 Days Orienteering Strathearn 19

The Scottish 6 days is an established orienteering event which attracts participants from all over the world and this year it’s coming to Crieff. The event will bring an estimated three thousand orienteers and their families to the area and takes place between the 28th of July and 3rd August.

This is a great opportunity for local businesses to get behind the event and benefit from the influx of visitors to Crieff. On Tuesday 28th May Ruth Williams of Crieff Succeeds and Fiona Downie, local resident and volunteer, will be visiting businesses around the town to explain more about the event and how to get involved. Please contact Ruth if you’d like to know more:

Crieff Succeeds is continually trying to identify funding opportunities or pressuring local and Central Government to provide funding opportunities, to help improve our streets, building facades and premises and enhance the overall appearance of the town. We are therefore delighted that Perth & Kinross Council have announced that they have committed £200,000 in their current budget for local businesses and organisations to apply for just such support.

As we understand it individual businesses will have to apply individually for a proportion of this funding. As far as we know the application process has not been finalised yet but once it is we will let you know how to apply.
